Join us in extending a warm welcome to this talented individual who will be gracing our art space from 21 December 2023 until 10 January 2024. Irien Afianto a.k.a Malaikat is from Surabaya, Indonesia. He is a contemporary artist whose work is deeply influenced by his surroundings. Art for him is an activity in doing something, to be processed in thought and executed in the form of work that has meaning and at the same time make our feelings happy.

During the residency, Malaikat will have the opportunity to explore his work in a stimulating environment of inspiration where he will delve deep into his artistic practice, experimenting, and exploring through the various mediums, interact with fellow artists, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and collaborate on exciting projects.
